A couple friends and I are all Twilight fans, and we enjoyed those books so we thought we would read through Stephenie Meyers other book, The Host. This book was actually written for adults, and it was... interesting. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and I would say that I recommend it to others.
In the book, a "soul" called Wanderer (and later Wanda) travels from planet to planet, and finally ends up on Earth, where she is put into the body of someone named Melanie. The souls that travel from planet to planet have decided to take over Earth because they think that humans are just to violent and need to be "tamed".
The book centers around Wanda/Melanie's journey to find her brother and her boyfriend. In the process of doing this, she finds a whole colony of "wild humans" and lives with them, against the objections of most.
Throughout the book, they all come realize that Wanda is not out to get them, and they learn to love her as one of their own.
If you are interested in something that's a little more science fiction, and well written to boot, I would recommend this book.
