The Memory keeper's Daughter

I recently finished reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter, by Kim Edwards, with the book club I am in. It was a heartbreaking look at the way that a secret can eat away at everyone and destroy something that could have been great.

In the beginning of the novel, Dr. Henry (David) is forced to deliver his twin children in the middle of a rare Kentucky blizzard. The first child born is a boy. Shortly after, the daughter is born and the father recognizes something in her that he react to negatively. He make a hasty decision that affects not only the lives of he and his wife, but also their son, daughter, the nurse who helps deliver the babies and a few surprising others.

If you want a read that will draw you in and at once make you learn the power of love and possibly break your heart, this is a great read for you.
